Ludwigsburg – The city of palaces
In 1704, Ludwigsburg was chosen as the location for a royal summer residence, but under the rule of Duke Eberhard Ludwig this plan quickly expanded and a whole city resulted. It became the city of palaces. The magnificent highlight of Ludwigsburg is the Residential Palace and not less attractive are the neighboring Hunting Lodge and Summer Residence called Favorite and the Monrepos Lakeside Palace.
